We invited the Belgian photographer Roselien Beerten to release her artistic vision on the Scandinavian watch Triwa Turtle Nevil, and asked her to explain how she gave meaning to it from ‘A Woman’s View’.

TRIWA is an acronym for Transforming the Industry of Watches. It’s goal is to promote the ethos of attitude and individuality in the traditional world of watches and accessories.

Roselien Beerten, “When I look at the photographs of watches, there’s always someone wearing it  which distracts all attention from the watch. In my series, I wanted the watch to be the center piece. So, following my graduation project ‘Chanel’, I created the images in two’s; one image that shows an ‘atmosphere’, and one that would show the product very, but with the atmosphere shown earlier. Since the images are clearly part of each other, they’re equal in essence. This style of photography – making random atmospheres and places, as essential as the object itself –  I would like to use for fashion photography.”
